Hello,

My name is Gayathri Lakshmipathy and I have the privilege of being your child's teacher in 6th grade this academic year.This is my seventeenth year as a teacher in FUSD and I can truthfully say I have enjoyed every minute of it!

I have a double Masters including Biology, Political Science and Public Administration. After earning my Ph.D in Public Administration I worked for six years as a Professor and a Researcher. I received my CA Teaching Credential in 2003 and in 2014 my Tier I Administrative Credential both from Cal State East Bay. 

I have been a resident of Fremont since 1997 and have lived here with my husband, two sons and my eight year old Sheltie-Cali. 

Teaching to me is not just a profession but a passion. My goal in the classroom is to make learning not only enjoyable for every child but also accessible and challenging at their level. I believe my students learning by doing and not by rote or just through books.  When the children leave my class room at the end of the each school day I want every one of them to feel a sense of accomplishment and more importantly feel good and excited about what they are doing in class.  I would greatly appreciate your support and participation both inside and outside the classroom to make this school year a happy and successful one for the children.
