Supply List

The following is a list of supplies recommended by Ms. Wong for the 2020-2021 school year:

I love a good deal, but please don't feel you must have all the items listed below for the first day of school.  I'm sure there will soon be sales and items on clearance for school supplies the week after school starts.  For now, just buy the basic items.

THIRD GRADE

For Distance Learning at home: 

  • Student designated laptop / Chromebook (one can be checked out to student, please contact our school secretary ASAP)
  • two-pocket folder (sturdy plastic folder no prongs)
  • 1 wide-rule spiral notebook                        
  • glue sticks                                             
  • 2 color highlighting markers                                          
  • 1 set of ear buds  
  • a timer
  • 2 black expo markers with an old sock/paper towel
  • ballpoint pens
  • Pencils and a good white polymer eraser
  • Pencil sharpener
  • 1 pair child size pointed scissors (not adult size)
  • 1 standard box of markers (no mega multi-packs)
  • 1 standard box of colored pencils (no more than 24)
  • 1 black fine and 1 ultra-fine permanent marker (Sharpie)
  • 1 standard ruler
  • 1 small ream of white copy paper
  • 1 small package of wide rule binder paper
  • 1 basket/box/organizer to hold all materials (workbooks, worksheets, textbooks)
  • 1 positive attitude 
  • 1 strong desire to learn
  • 1 strong sense of good citizenship
  • 1 willingness to try and perform at your best
  • 1 willingness to make a lot of mistakes & learn from them!
  • 1 willingness to go above and beyond both live and independent time

Disregard below as it pertains to in class face-to-face instruction

**Mechanical Pencils - are permissible; however, students are expected to take sole responsibility for them.  Sharing/lending/asking for lead has been a huge distraction in class.  Students need to be prepared with extra led for themselves or have a back up standard pencil that can be sharpened in class.  Please keep expensive brand lead pencils such as Gel-Pens (made from Japan) for home use only.

*Please keep in mind the distract-ability of school supplies and expensive items when purchasing.  The item(s) will likely be confiscated until end of the school year or taken by peers.  There should be no "toy" element in school supplies (blinking lights, noise makers, novelty items, etc).

  • 1 wired ear buds (no wireless and/or headphones)    
  • 4 ballpoint pens one each black, blue, green & red

  • 1 pair child size pointed scissors (no adult size)   
  • 1 standard box of markers (no mega multi-packs)                  
  • 1 standard box of colored pencils (no more than 24)         
  • 2 each black fine and ultra-fine marker (Sharpie)       
  • 1 standard ruler w/ inches and centimeters                   

Good to have for PERSONAL use

  • Zipper pencil pouch (no pencil box, it will not fit inside desk)
  • reusable water bottle

***DONATION for classroom use***

  • 1 package of glue sticks (Elmer’s)
  • 2 large boxes of Kleenex tissues
  • 2 packages of pencils (Americana or Ticonderoga)
  • 1 pack of standard 3x3” post-it (no accordion)
  • 2 reams of bright single color paper (for newsletters, important fliers, handouts, art, projects, and bookmaking)
  • 2 packages of baby wipes (prefer unscented, last name N – Z)
  • 1 roll of paper towels (last name A – M)
  • 2 packages binder paper (wide rule)
